Photo and Me

I was twelve when I tried to take a picture for the first time. My father teached me the main priciples. No, I did not like that at all! My dad just wanted me to be able to check the exposure, to focus and stuff. Well, finally, someone had to take pictures of my parents.

In a couple of years I got my own LOMO Compact. I learned film processing, b&w printing, slide making... No, scanners have not been available yet. After LOMO had broken I started using father's Zenit.

But I took pictures just to remember. The main idea was to keep everything as it was. Well, even now I don't like manipulating images too much...

Something changed when I spent 9 months in Sweden in 2000-2001. I've been shooting a lot there. Several cameras have been changed since then, but the main interest has not changed — I'm still trying to do something like fine art photography. Sounds to high, I see... Well, click on pictures and check if anything comes out!
